An eternal wait…

Doom Eternal has been delayed until March 20th 2020 according to a statement released by Bethesda and id Software. The reasoning behind the delayed release is due to the developers wanting to perfect and polish the game, making sure it meets and exceeds their standards.

Fans have been supportive of the decision online, understanding the need for the developers to create a great quality game at release.

The statement also revealed some details about changes they will be making at launch or as a pre-order. Invasion mode, where other players have the ability to jump into your game as a playable demon, will be released for free shortly after the official launch.

The Nintendo Switch edition of the game will be released at a later, yet to be announced, date.

Doom 64 will be available as a pre-order bonus on every version of the game and will release on March 20th 2020, alongside the initial release of Doom Eternal.
