DC ends the day on a high, with the release of the first official trailer for The Batman. Watch it in all its glory below:
The trailer features our first real glimpse at Pattinson’s Batman in action, also giving us a tease at the voice he will use. It also offers a glimpse at Paul Dano’s Riddler, who will supposedly be the main villain, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin, who looks unrecognisable in the iconic role. Catwoman is also featured and will seemingly play a major role in the movie, it was also confirmed that this is a story set in Batman’s second year of activity in Gotham City.
Matt Reeves will be directing the movie and is most well known for directing the previous two entries in The Planet of the Apes franchise, which were both met with hugely positive critical and fan acclaim.
The Batman will be released in October 1st 2021 as opposed to its June 21st 2021 date. Robert Pattinson stars as Bruce Wayne/Batman, joined by an exciting cast featuring Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth and John Turturro as Carmine Falcone.
