Watch the first trailer detailing the story campaign below, as well as further details:
“Welcome to the brink.
The iconic Black Ops series is with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War – the direct sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops, the original that started it all. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will drop players into the depths of the Cold War’s volatile geopolitical battle of the early 1980s. In a gripping single-player campaign, players will descend into the dark center of a global conspiracy alongside iconic characters Woods, Mason, and Hudson, as well as a new cast of operatives to stop a plot decades in the making.
Beyond the Campaign, Black Ops Cold War will deliver the next generation of Multiplayer and Zombies experiences…”
The trailer features the confirmed return of both Woods and Hudson, major characters in the Black Ops franchise. Mason, Black Ops 1’s main character, is also set to return, with a possible yet unconfirmed appearance in this trailer, though the description does state that he will be a part of the game. The game is seemingly a sequel to the original Black Ops rather than a remake like Modern Warfare 2019. The fan favourite zombies mode will also see a return, which fans will be highly anticipating.
The game is available to pre-order and will release on November 13th. Pre-ordering will unlock access to an Open Beta, first on PS4, and Woods as a character in Warzone.
