The Monsterverse Reaches its Climax!
Warner Bros have released the first official trailer for the fourth movie in the Monsterverse, Godzilla vs. King Kong. This will be the culmination of a story setup in previous entries and post credits scenes and will feature the two movie monster legends going one-on-one. The pair have featured together before in King Kong vs. Godzilla, which originally released in 1962. Check out the full trailer below:
“Legends collide in Godzilla vs. Kong as these mythic adversaries meet in a spectacular battle for the ages, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home, and with them is Jia, a young orphaned girl with whom he has formed a unique and powerful bond. But they unexpectedly find themselves in the path of an enraged Godzilla, cutting a swath of destruction across the globe. The epic clash between the two titans—instigated by unseen forces—is only the beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the Earth.”
The movie will be directed by Adam Wingard and will feature both new and returning stars; Millie Bobby Brown, Alexander Skarsgård, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Shun Oguri, Eiza González, Julian Dennison, Kyle Chandler and Demián Bichir.
Godzilla vs. Kong will be available in theatres and streaming exclusively on HBO Max in the US on March 26 2021. No confirmed news on availability in the UK or worldwide is currently available.
