The actress, famed for playing Lois Lane alongside Christopher Reeve in Richard Donner’s 1978 Superman film and all of its sequels, has passed away at the age of 69.
Margot Kidder died in her sleep at her home on Sunday in Livingston, Montana. The cause of death, however, is currently unknown; although the Livingston Police Chief doesn’t suspect foul play. Park County Attorney Bruce Becker told TMZ, “police found her dead after a person of unknown identity called police to report that Margot was unconscious and wasn’t breathing.”
Kidder has had a very public struggle with bipolar disorder in the past and later in life became an advocate for mental health.
She has been married 3 times and is survived by her daughter.
