The MTV Movie & TV awards was on our screens last night, with Girls trip star Tiffany Haddish as host, who also went home with Best Comedic Performance for her role in the film.

Netflix series Stranger Things and blockbuster hit Black Panther, also came out on top with the most award wins, four each.  Black Panther won Best Movie, the first ever primarily black cast to do so. Black Panther himself, Chadwick Boseman, also earned two prizes (Best Hero and Best Performance in a movie). Michael B. Jordan also won Best Villain.

Stranger Things Star Millie Bobby Brown was also nominated for multiple awards including Best Kiss with Finn Wolfhard and Best Performance in a show, as well as Stranger Things winning Best Show overall.
