Luke Cage Season 2 releases today, June 22nd, on the online streaming service Netflix. Luke Cage’s first outing was met with a mixed reception, with most criticising the latter half for its choices in the mid season episode, as well as weak villains and a slow pace. The first half saw praise for its villain Copperhead, played by Mahershala Ali, as well as its representation and acknowledgement of societal problems in America.
Marvel’s outing comes after Jessica Jones’ second season earlier in the year, which was also met with a mixed reception among fans. Marvel’s ever growing TV universe recently saw the likes of The Punisher, Cloak and Dagger and The Runaways receive their own series’.
Iron Fist is also said to make an appearance in Season 2 before his show returns for a second outing later in the year.
Head over to Netflix now to catch the 13 episode second season for the Power Man himself, Luke Cage.
