Lucifer was one of many shows to be cancelled by Fox this season, and one of the few to be picked up by another network. Brooklyn Nine-Nine being picked up by NBC is another big story in this case.
The characters in Lucifer are based on the Vertigo/DC Comics Sandman spin-off, Lucifer. The show stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer, Lauren German as Chloe Decker, Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez, DB Woodside as Amenadiel, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Maze, Kevin Alejandro as Dan, Scarlett Estevez as Trixie, Rachael Harris as Linda Martin, Tricia Helfer as Charlotte and Tom Welling as Marcus Pierce/Cain.
There is no release date currently for the fourth season, but speculation hints at an early 2019 release. It is also unknown whether the show will be released weekly, or in Netflix’s binge style. Lucifer’s revival campaign is an exceptional example of how fans can show their true affection for a show and fight for its return.
