Possible spoilers and rumours ahead…
The second official trailer for Captain Marvel, starring Brie Larson, has been released by Marvel Studios. The movie will release in March 2019.
This new trailer features extended scenes from the first, as well as an explanation behind Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel’s origins. The trailer is certainly more action-packed than the first, featuring multiple scenes of Captain Marvel in costume fighting Skrulls and more.
– Possible spoilers here –
It has been rumoured that Jude Law will be playing Yon-Rogg in this movie, a villain who is known to harbour a deep hatred towards Mar-Vell, the character everyone assumed Law would be playing. The trailer has scenes that may back this up, but it is still unconfirmed.
The rumour has stemmed from the release of a Funko Pop figure of Yon-Rogg, that looks remarkably similar to Jude Law’s appearances in all of the promotional content for the movie.
– End of spoilers –
The first trailer featured our first official look at The Avengers and Agents of Shield’s Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg). We also got another look at the Skrulls as well as young Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson).
Check out the previously released official set images here, which include the return of Ronan the Accuser from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos and Jude Law, who may or may not be playing Mar-Vell, among other first looks.
