Ubisoft has provided Far Cry fans with a more in-depth look into the forthcoming game with a brand new 6-minute gameplay trailer that features a familiar face.
The character Pastor Jerome will be returning, although there is a 17-year gap between New Dawn and Far Cry 5, so not everything will be the same. The re-skinned game world has been described as a “post-apocalyptic, post-superbloom” version of Hope County from Far Cry 5.
This isn’t the first time Ubisoft has created spin-off games with re-skinned map areas, Far Cry Primal was the biggest culprit of this, after the release of Far Cry 4. However, Ubisoft has seen major success with Far Cry 3’s spin-off ‘Blood Dragon’, which acted as a standalone expansion with a retro twist.
Far Cry New Dawn releases on February 9th 2019, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
