Become a Vault Hunter!
The trailer itself showcases new characters and “baddies”, as well as returning favourites such as Lillith, Brick and Claptrap. I surprising inclusion comes in the form of Tales from the Borderlands‘ Rhys, who disappeared in a cliffhanger ending to the excellent Telltale episodic series. It seems that fans will get some form of conclusion to that series after all, despite Telltale‘s closure.
Alongside this announcement is a GOTY release for the original Borderlands game, complete with enhancements such as a mini-map and an adjusted final boss, as well as improvided visuals. The GOTY edition will release next week on April 3rd.
Updates have been announced for the Handsome Jack collection also, as stated by Gearbox: “This brand new Ultra HD texture pack increases the visual fidelity of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and its DLC on consoles, and provides a visual upgrade for Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and all their DLC on PC! Upgrade game textures such as characters, vehicles, weapons, and environments. Players will best appreciate all the added detail at 4K resolution, but improvements can be enjoyed on other displays as well.”
Stay tuned for more details and Borderlands news in the future!
