“Gotta go fast”
The first trailer for the upcoming live-action film based on the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise has been released.
Reactions have been mixed, mainly due to the lack of prominent Sonic characters outside of Robotnik (a very likely moustache twirling Jim Carrey) and Sonic himself, along with some questionable character design and CGI. However, Carrey’s Robotnik ahs many fans intrigued, especially with the last shot of the trailer showing a more traditional look for the classic villain.
The film also stars James Marsden, Tika Sumpter and Neal McDonough, with Ben Schwartz voicing the titular blue speedster.
The film is expected to release in November 2019.
