… and the Zelda news continues!
As the latest Nintendo Direct for E3 closed out eager viewers were treated to a glimpse of the next mainline title in The Legend of Zelda series.
The brief trailer boasts an eerie aura as Link and Princess Zeldas’ exploration of an underground area is interrupted by a sinister and skeletal presence in what appears to be something akin to the monks whom you met previously when completing shrines in BOTW.
Early observations are that the game feels reminiscent of 2000s Majora’s Mask, which was also a direct sequel, due to its (presumed) reuse of the same graphics engine and darker tone.
The key difference is that whilst Majora’s Mask came out just 18 months after the acclaimed Ocarina of Time, here Nintendo appear to be taking their time.
