Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for their adaptation of The Witcher series during San Diego Comic-Con, starring Henry Cavill. Check it out below:
A poster and multiple images were released a few weeks ago showcasing the cast for the series.
The show itself will adapt the books by Andrzej Sapkowski, which also acts as a prequel to the game series, and will hopefully capture what made the franchise so great to fans of the books.
Along with Cavill, Freya Allan will portray Ciri, Anna Shaffer as Triss Merrigold and Anya Chalotra as the sorceress and Geralt’s main love interest, Yennefer. Additional cast includes Jodhi May as Queen Calanthe, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson as Eist, Adam Levy as Mousesack, MyAnna Buring as Tissaia and more.
A release date is yet to be set but is expected for later this year.
