Running down the next phase of the MCU…
Huge news came out of San Diego Comic-Con’s Hall H today regarding the next set of MCU related movies. We will run down each one, along with the description that Marvel has provided. The announced cast and release date for each project will be available below.

Blade
Currently without a release date, but supposedly sometime after the following releases, Marvel Studios’ Blade will star Mahershala Ali. The actor returns to the MCU for a second time, after starring as Cottonmouth in the first season of Luke Cage.
Black Widow
Marvel Studios’ Black Widow will feature Scarlett Johansson, David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, and Rachel Weisz. It will be directed by Cate Shortland and has a release date set for May 1st 2020.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will be an original series starring Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and Daniel Brühl. It will be Streaming exclusively on Disney+ with a Fall 2020 release date. Anthony Mackie has confirmed that he will be wearing some variant of the Captain America suit in the series, while Brühl confirms the return of Zemo from Civil War.
The Eternals
Marvel Studios’ The Eternals will star Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh and Don Lee. Directed by Chloé Zhao and set for a November 6th 2020 release date.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings stars Simu Liu, Awkwafina and Tony Leung, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Release set for February 12th 2021.

WandaVision
Marvel Studios’ WandaVision is an original series with Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany and Teyonah Parris. Streaming exclusively on Disney+ from Spring 2021.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlett Witch. Scott Derrickson will be returning as director with a May 7th 2021 release date set.
Loki
Marvel Studios’ Loki is an original series starring the returning Tom Hiddleston. Streaming exclusively on Disney+ from Spring 2021.
What If…?
Marvel Studios’ What If…? will be the first animated series in the MCU, with Jeffrey Wright (Westworld) as the voice of The Watcher and many actors from across the MCU reprising their roles. The series will be streaming exclusively on Disney+ from Summer 2021.
Hawkeye
Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye starring Jeremy Renner, an original series that will also introduce the character of Kate Bishop. Streaming exclusively on Disney+, Fall 2021.
Thor: Love and Thunder
Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder starring Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson and Natalie Portman, who will be returning as Jane Foster and will take on the role of Thor similar to the comics. Taika Waititi returns as director. The movie is set for a November 5th 2021 release.
