Variety has reported that Zoe Kravitz has been cast to play Catwoman in The Batman, alongside Robert Pattinson.
Kravitz is known for her roles in movies such as Mad Max Fury Road, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and her role in HBO’s Big Little Lies. She is also the daughter of actress Lisa Bonet and musician Lenny Kravitz.
A tweet from director Matt Reeves seemingly hints at the casting and has received a positive reaction online.

Matt Reeves is most well known for directing the previous two entries in The Planet of the Apes franchise, which was both met with hugely positive critical and fan acclaim.
The role of Catwoman has been played most recently by Anne Hathaway in The Dark Knight Rises. Other actresses to take on the role include Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns and Halle Berry in the negatively received Catwoman.
Filming could potentially start in the following months or early 2020, with The Batman scheduled to hit theatres on June 25th 2021.
