Everything happens for a reason.

A trailer for the newest movie in the Ghostbusters franchise has been released. Unlike the previous all-female reboot of the series, Ghostbusters: Afterlife will be a continuation of the original movies. Check out the trailer below:

The movie will feature the original cast, including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts, but will see the main cast helmed by a younger team of actors. The trailer has been compared to Stranger Things, with its focus on kids being the main characters.

Jason Reitman will be directing the movie, with a cast featuring Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), Mckenna Grace, Carrie Coon (Gone Girl, The Leftovers) and Paul Rudd (Ant-Man, Avengers: Endgame).

Ghostbusters: Afterlife will be released in Summer 2020.
