Subscribers of Doctor Who Magazine received a pleasant surprise when early copies of the latest issue confirmed a November release for Doctor Who Season 19 on Blu Ray. This was reported by Doctor Who Online who also shared some images of the set. Blogtor Who recently uploaded a cleaner image that shows off more disc art.
The set covers all seven serials from Fifth Doctor Peter Davison’s first season which ran from 4th January to 30th March 1982. The packaging is expected to mirror that of the prior Season 12 release (reviewed here) which included a booklet, though this set will contain 8 discs.
A comprehensive list of special features has yet to be announced, however the article stated the set would contain “numerous brand-new special features” amongst which are “New making-of documentaries for Castrovalva, Four to Doomsday, Black Orchid, Earthshock and Time Flight.”
We will update you when more information becomes available, so watch this space!
