Highway to the Delayed Zone!
The upcoming Top Gun Sequel has been pushed back to 2020 by Paramount.
This move is apparently being made to allow the production team time to “create “incredible” flight sequences so the film can be great.”
The cult classic was officially confirmed to be getting a sequel back in 2017 when lead actor Tom Cruise stated that shooting was beginning in the following year. Actor Val Kilmer is returning to his role, whilst Miles Teller will be playing Goose’s son. Other confirmed actors include Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Ed Harris and Thomasin McKenzie.

The composer for the first film, Harold Faltermeyer, is returning and Oblivion director Joseph Kosinski will be taking the helm as director. The original director of the cult classic, Tony Scott, was meant to direct the film but died in 2012.
