The show will be animated, just like Castlevania, confirms Castlevania executive producer and now Devil May Cry developer Adi Shankar. Castlevania has been regarded as one of the best video game to tv adaptations ever.
In an interview with IGN, Shankar talks of his Castlevania experience, “[Castlevania] really over-performed. It did crazy well. We immediately got greenlit for Season 3.” He also provided his gratitude to fans, “I wouldn’t have a job if it wasn’t for the fans.”
In a ‘The Rock’ style explanation, Shankar states that he, “acquired these [Devil May Cry] rights myself so the jabronis in Hollywood don’t f*** this one up too.”
It is not yet confirmed if this Devil May Cry series will air on Netflix, and there is no current information on a release date, voice casting or any story details. Devil May Cry 5, however, will be releasing on March 8th 2019 on PS4, Xbox One and Windows.
