NetherRealm Studios are bringing us the latest edition of Mortal Kombat sooner than expected, Mortal Kombat 11 will release on April 23rd 2019. the announcement was made at The Game Awards last night.

The reveal trailer itself showcases a cinematic fight between Raiden and Scorpion, check it out here.

The trailer also reveals that a community reveal event will be held on January 17th 2019, which may see the release of a brand new trailer.

Pre-ordering the game will give players access to the beta and Shao Khan as a character at launch.
