“I’ll be back”
During an interview with Yahoo, James Cameron has revealed the working title for the next instalment in the Terminator franchise, “We’re calling it, Terminator: Dark Fate. That’s our working title right now.” During production, the movie will use the title of Terminator: Dark Fate. It isn’t confirmed whether the movie will keep this title in the long run.
This will be the first Terminator film produced by James Cameron since Terminator 2: Judgement Day. Dark Fate will also be a sequel to Judgment Day, seemingly ignoring or erasing Rise of the Machines, Salvation, and Genisys from the timeline. Cameron may be looking to start fresh using the first 2 movies’ continuity, rather than use the rest’s divisive continuity.
Terminator: Dark Fate will star Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna and Diego Boneta. Tim Miller (Deadpool) will direct the movie.
Cameron stated during his Yahoo interview that he had urged the filmmakers to bring back Linda Hamilton to play the role of Sarah Connor. He also commented further on Schwarzenegger’s involvement, “I can’t be involved in this film at all if Arnold [Schwarzenegger] is not in it.” and he urged the filmmakers to bring back Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor.

Not much is known about the plot, but it has been stated that the movie will take place in Mexico City, following Natalia Reyes’ Dani Ramos who is being hunted by Gabriel Luna’s Terminator. It is unknown how Lind Hamilton’s Sarah Connor will fit into the story, along with Schwarzenegger’s Terminator. It is also unconfirmed whether a version of John Connor will appear in this movie, but considering his significance to the Terminator franchise, there is a large chance that he will appear.
Terminator: Dark Fate will release November 1st 2019.
