Swamp Thing premieres Friday, May 31st on DC Universe!
DC Universe has released the final trailer for Swamp Thing, which airs this Friday on the streaming service in the US. Watch the trailer below:
“SWAMP THING follows Abby Arcane as she investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets. When unexplainable and chilling horrors emerge from the murky marsh, no one is safe.”
Swamp Thing will be based on the characters created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson.
The show will be produced by James Wan, director of the Aquaman movie. The pilot will be written by Mark Verheiden (Constantine/NBC; Daredevil/Netflix) and Gary Dauberman (It; It: Chapter 2) and directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld; McClane), with all also on board to executive produce alongside Michael Clear. Verheiden will be taking over as showrunner for the first season.
Doom Patrol has just finished its first season run on DC Universe, with Swamp Thing filling the void until Young Justice returns later in the year.
