It has finally been confirmed that Disney’s new streaming service will be called Disney Plus. Along with this announcement, multiple shows have been confirmed, one of which is the previously announced Star Wars spin-off ‘The Mandalorian’.
One of the biggest announcements comes with confirmation from Tom Hiddleston himself, confirming that he will return to star as Loki in a new Marvel live-action series. A ‘Scarlett Witch’ series was also rumoured, but no official confirmation has been announced just yet.

Another live-action Star Wars prequel show, starring Rogue One’s Cassian Andor (Diego Luna). Luna stated in an official news release, “I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply,”
There have also been rumours of another Marvel show, involving Anthony Mackie’s Falcon and Sebastian Stan’s Winter Soldier, but as with ‘Scarlet Witch’, it is yet to be confirmed.
Other shows are being developed, including a ‘Monster Inc.’ series and a live-action ‘Lady and the Tramp’ remake starring Tessa Thompson. Disney’s CEO Bob Iger also confirmed that all of the latest movie releases, such as the newest Avengers and Will Smith’s Aladdin, will be available on Disney Plus from next year.
