“I am high, humiliated and hairless.”
The ‘Two and a Half Men’ actor, Jon Cryer, will portray Superman’s arch-nemesis, Lex Luthor, on The CW’s Supergirl show. It was announced earlier last month, that Lex Luthor would make an appearance, and we finally have confirmation on who will be playing him.
The role will be recurring and he will make his debut in the latter half of the season, in 2019.

“We’re beyond excited to introduce an iconic villain, Lex Luthor, to Supergirl and to weave him into our story this season,” stated executive Producers Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller last month. “We’ve talked about having Lex on the show since its inception and we’re excited to have him finally arrive. We can’t wait for him to shake things up in National City and watch him go toe to toe with not only Supergirl but his sister Lena Luthor.”
Both have also stated, “We are enormous fans of Jon Cryer, and he was instantly our dream actor to play the iconic role of Lex Luthor. Jon is a super-talent, and the fact that he played Lenny Luthor in Superman IV brings an added layer of legacy to his casting… We’re beyond thrilled to welcome Jon to the Supergirl family.”
Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers/Supergirl, Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen, David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor and Jesse Rath as Brainiac 5.
Catch Supergirl every Sunday at 8pm ET on The CW. Supergirl is joined by Arrow on Monday at 9pm and Legends of Tomorrow, which begins its fourth season on October 22nd. The Flash and Black Lightning both air every Tuesday night.
