The fast and the… superhuman?

The first trailer for the Fast and Furious spin-off, Hobbs & Shaw, has been released. It stars Dwayne Johnson as Hobbs and Jason Statham as Shaw, who go toe-to-toe (or car-to-car) with the villainous new character Brixton, played by Idris Elba.

The trailer promises the typical ‘F&F’ fare, with explosions and fast cars aplenty, but also offers some new exploration with Elba’s villain being a seemingly bulletproof super-human.

The film is to be directed by David Leitch, who recently helmed Deadpool 2, whilst Chris Morgan is writing the script. WWE Superstar Roman Reigns (Leati Joseph “Joe” Anoaʻi) is expected to make an appearance in the movie.
