The fan-favourite animated series is making its big return as Young Justice: Outsiders on DC Universe. We finally have a full trailer for the season as well, which you can watch below.
Young Justice season 3 will also receive a prequel comic, releasing exclusively on DC Universe. It will be written by series producer Greg Weisman with art by Christopher Jones and will release on Jan. 2 and Jan. 3,
The show itself was cancelled by Cartoon Network due to a lack of toy sales, despite its popularity as a show, which prompted DC to bring the show back for their online service.
‘Enhanced’ versions of the past season episode, with added commentary available, will also be released on DC Universe. The trailer for the enhanced versions can be seen below as well.
The show itself will air episodes every Friday from January 4th, with 4 episodes airing on January 25th to commemorate the mid-season finale. The show will then return in June 2019 to complete its 26 episode run.
Young Justice follows a group of superheroes and former side-kicks, including Nightwing, Superboy, Kid Flash and many more. The second season revealed many new members such as Batgirl, Blue Beetle and Impulse. The Justice League also make appearances throughout.
The cast of the show features voice acting talents such as Nolan North, Jesse McCartney, Danica McKellar, Khary Payton, Stephanie Lemelin, Jason Spisak and many more.
DC Universe’s first show, Titans, is currently airing every Friday on the streaming service, with the Doom Patrol spin-off (Featuring Joivan Wade as Cyborg, Timothy Dalton as Chief & Brendan Fraser as Robotman) airing early 2019. More series will follow, including the likes of Swamp Thing, featuring Crystal Reed with Andy Bean & Derek Mears starring, as well as a Harley Quinn series and Stargirl, starring Brec Bassinger.
Young Justice: Outsiders airs January 4th on DC Universe.
